Privacy policy

App: Resize Image: Photo Resizer, package com.ebrahim.imageresizer (the ‘App’)
1. Summary. The App resizes, compresses, crops and rotates photos on your device. We do not run servers for the App, we do not require an account, and we do not upload, view or store your photos. The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob, which collects some device information described below.
2. Your photos. You choose photos with the Android system photo picker, and the App can only access the photos you pick. All processing happens on your device. Resized copies are saved on your device in Pictures/ImageResizer. The App never sends your photos to us or to any third party. If you use Share, the photo goes to the app you choose and that app’s privacy policy applies. Saved copies are re-encoded and do not keep the original EXIF metadata, such as location.
3. Information stored on your device. The App keeps a local history (file name, original and new size, dimensions, date and a link to the saved file) and a few settings (whether Pro is active and a counter used to decide when to show an ad). This information stays on your device. Clearing history in the App removes the list but not the saved photos. Uninstalling the App or clearing its storage deletes this information.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob). The free version shows banner, full-screen and rewarded ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device’s advertising ID, IP address (which can indicate approximate location), device and operating system information, app interactions such as ad views and taps, and diagnostics, in order to serve and measure ads, prevent fraud and improve its services. Where required (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and some US states), the App shows a consent form from Google’s User Messaging Platform, and you can change your choice later through ‘Ad privacy settings’ in the App where it is offered. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in Android Settings > Privacy > Ads. To learn how Google uses data from apps that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
5. Purchases (Google Play Billing). The optional Pro purchase is processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details. We only receive confirmation that Pro is active on your Google account.
6. Permissions. The App uses INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE (to load ads and check purchases), the Android advertising ID permission (used by ads) and the Google Play billing permission (for Pro). It does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location or general storage.
7. Sharing and sale. We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with Google as described in sections 4 and 5, and when required by law.
8. Children. The App is not directed to children under 13 (or under the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us.
9. Security and retention. Your photos and history stay on your device inside Android’s app sandbox. We hold no personal data on servers, so we retain nothing. Data collected by Google is kept under Google’s own policies.
10. Your rights. Depending on where you live (for example the GDPR in the EEA and UK, CCPA/CPRA in California, or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. Because we do not hold your personal data, requests about advertising data should go to Google through your Google account’s privacy settings. You can also contact us at [your support email] and we will help.
11. International transfers. Google may process advertising data in countries outside yours under its own safeguards.
12. Changes. We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version, and material changes will be reflected in the App or on its Play Store page.
